Michael is the co-founder of Operation Infinite Hope, a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting veterans, survivors of trafficking, and at-risk youth in a transformative ranch environment. Grounded in biblical principles, Operation Infinite Hope fosters skill-building, purpose, and service to others through its unique programs.
Michael was born at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, TX, into a family deeply rooted in service. His father, a military veteran, transitioned from the armed forces to pursue a calling in ministry, leading the family to navigate the challenges of faith and community. Despite this supportive foundation, Michael faced significant struggles during his childhood. Battling undiagnosed ADHD, he became an easy target for bullies and abusive adults, leading to a tumultuous upbringing that fostered feelings of isolation and anger.
As a young teenager, Michael found himself at a crossroads, feeling trapped by the pain of his experiences. In 8th grade, he began seeking acceptance in all the wrong places, getting involved with gangs, drugs, and a lifestyle filled with illegal activities. At just 17, he was incarcerated as an adult, marking the beginning of a long, dark chapter in his life that spanned nearly 13 years. During this time, Michael witnessed the harshest realities of humanity, which contributed to his struggles with PTSD and deepened his sense of loss.
Over the past two decades, Michael dedicated himself to rebuilding his life, successfully navigating the corporate world of operations management. He worked his way up from entry-level positions to executive roles in various companies, gaining invaluable experience in leadership and strategic planning. Eventually, he took the bold step of starting his own business, where he combines his operational expertise with a mission to make a meaningful impact.
Throughout his journey, faith has played a significant role in Michael's life. Although he struggled with his spirituality during his youth, the inner voice of the Holy Spirit has always been present, guiding him toward a life of service and compassion. This spiritual awakening came into sharper focus during a pivotal experience in western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene, where he witnessed firsthand the power of community and healing.
Michael is driven by a powerful vision: to create a ranch environment dedicated to healing veterans and child victims of trafficking and abuse. This initiative aims to provide a safe haven where individuals can experience recovery through nature, community, and purposeful service. By fostering an atmosphere of compassion and support, Michael hopes to empower others to reclaim their lives, find hope, and build a brighter future.
Through this endeavor, he aims not only to help others heal but also to foster connections between veterans and survivors, creating a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose. Michael believes that by coming together in a nurturing environment, both groups can find healing, strength, and a renewed sense of hope.
